Hi​. I'm Matteus Gunnlaugsson, Leader of the Socialist Party and Prime Minister of the United Provinces of Atlantica. I've worked hard to establish our new minimum wage, closed shop for the public sector, and a comfortable 30-hour workeek. I'm proud to say that all of these actions were succesful, and have been/are being implemented right now.
I've been the Prime Minister since 2013, and I was also the Prime Minsiter from 2003 to 2010. I was also the General Secretary of the Atlantican Federation of Labour from 1996 to 1999, and the Minister of Labour, Health, and Welfare from 1999 to 2003. I've been the leader of the Socialist Party since 2003, and I led the Opposition against the government of Johanna Gunnarsdottir during the entire time of her Ministry, or from 2010 to 2013.
I'm a proud father with two kids, a beautiful 2-year old girl named Helga and a beautiful 6-year old boy named Einar. I have been happily have married to Gunnar Matteusson since 2002.
I was born in Fjordhavn on the 11th of March, 1970, where I was raised and where I lived until 1986. I then moved to Stórkostlegurborg that same year in order to study at the University of Stórkostlegurborg until 1994. I have lived there ever since.
I then joined the Atlantican Federation of Labour as soon as I started working as a doctor for the AHS once I copmpleted my medical degrees. I found myself becoming very active in the ASA, and I become its youngest General Secretary in 1996. I have then been a crusader for Atlantican workers and students since.
