Aðalgrímr Mennjegersson was born in the rural town of Seggrjavik in Dagmar's mountainous northern reaches. His family was relatively poor, and he grew up largely independent, with both of his parents working and as an only child. He had grown politically conscious by his teens, and was sympathetic to leftist labor movements, largely influenced by his father's status as a stout union man. He joined the military when he was eighteen, and served until he was thirty-two, rising up the ranks to become an NCO with a reputation for a firm, yet kind hand. Once leaving the service, he returned home and became involved in local politics, becoming a member of the town council for many years as he also became invested in the fishing business, pushing for democratic and collectivist transitions in the sector. 

By the time he was involved in national politics in his forties, he had begun accruing a small fortune and a reputation for philanthropy. Now in his fifties, he has risen to the position of Lawspeaker in the Revolutionary Socialist Party, and is the founder and Commissar of the Party's security force, the Revolutionary Guard. He has been instrumental in the RSP's rise to power as the largest party in the Dagmar Thing, and is also the initiator of the proposed coalition between his own party, the National Revivalists, and the Pagan Front.
